Island County looks for volunteers for planning commission

Island County is looking for volunteers to serve on the Island County Planning Commission.

Candidates are needed from each district in the county (South/Central Whidbey, Oak Harbor, North Whidbey/Camano) and applications are due by Friday, Dec. 17.

Planning commissioners serve four-year terms, and those appointed to the advisory body by the board of county commissioners will serve until

Jan. 2, 2015.

Interested individuals should send a letter of interest including a statement of qualifications and a résumé to the Island County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Ingrid Smith, Re: Planning Commission Vacancies, PO Box 5000, Coupeville, WA 98239.
