South Whidbey Republican Women will welcome Elizabeth Scott as the keynote speaker at their regular meeting next week.

Scott is presenting her message, “Harnessing the Energy,” and organizers say she has earned a reputation as a dynamic speaker who has energized thousands at campaigns and Tea Party rallies. Her career includes teaching English as a second language to university students in China and the United Arab Emirates.

The group will gather on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Useless Bay Country Club. Luncheon meetings start at 11:30 a.m., by reservation only. For reservations or information, call Mary Olson at 341-2355 or Janet Backe at 579-3614.
