South Whidbey students to get out early today due to snow

All after-school activities have been canceled in the South Whidbey School District because of today's surprise snowstorm.

Some students will be released early from school today, district officials said.

Langley Middle School students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m., and the high school will let out at 1:45 p.m.
Elementary school students will be dismissed at the regular time of 3:30 p.m.

All buses will be operating on snow routes.

District officials also said the eighth-grade parent orientation meeting planned for tonight at the high school has been called off.
