The South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District will hold a special meeting on Wednesday to talk about the 2011 budget.

District officials have been grappling with a $100,000 budget shortfall caused by a drop in property tax revenues. Cuts to the district’s capital projects, programs and other areas have been suggested.

The meeting is 7 p.m. March 2 at the parks district headquarters at 5475 Maxwelton Road.
