South Whidbey school consolidation on the agenda

The South Whidbey School Board will get an update on the school consolidation effort at its workshop next week.

Rod Merrell, principal of South Whidbey High School and Langley Middle School, will give the presentation. It will be followed by a board discussion.

Board members are also expected to talk about the future direction of the school district.

The meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 in the school board room on the South Whidbey Primary School campus at 5476 S. Maxwelton Road.

 

A public comment session will also be held, since there was no opportunity for public comment at the regular February board meeting that was canceled due to inclement weather.
