Freeland talk to cover veterans' benefits

Mahala Martin Murphy will give a presentation on the enhanced veterans’ pension benefits program next week in Freeland.

The program provides up to $2,000 a month for war-time veterans and spouses to go toward assisted-living expenses. Murphy will give a talk at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Freeland on the program, and answer questions about the benefit and how to apply.
