Island County Planning Commission gets docket update

The Island County Planning Commission will have a presentation and discussion about the 2011 docket for planning policy changes at the advisory board’s next meeting.

Planning commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 in the county commissioners’ hearing room, in the County Annex Building in Coupeville.

Officials will also talk about an amendment to allow and establish standards for temporary uses in the “Rural Service” zoning classification.

Old business on the agenda is a review of minor changes on the maximum review time frames for permit processing, and a proposed change to clarify the appeal process for Type I decisions when an environmental review is required.
