CLINTON — Travelers leaving Whidbey Island are facing a long wait to catch the Clinton ferry on Monday afternoon.

The line of vehicles waiting for the ferry to the mainland stretched nearly to Campbell Road just after noon on Memorial Day.

The current queue means at least a two-boat wait for travelers.
