Tom Fournier appointed to Whidbey Island Conservation District board

Tom Fournier has been appointed to the board of supervisors for the Whidbey Island Conservation District.

Fournier will replace Karen Krug, and his term will run through 2014.

Fournier, who retired from federal service a few years ago, has worked with the Bureau of Reclamation, the Soil Conservation Service and the Navy.

A resident of Coupeville, he has volunteered with the conservation district and nonprofit organizations such as Hearts & Hammers.
