Ferry Kittitas returns to route
June 18, 2011 · 9:15 AM
The M/V Kitsap will be taken off the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry route as the summer sailing schedule gets underway this weekend, and the M/V Kittitas will return to the route after a few months of preservation work at Vigor Shipyards in Seattle.
State ferry officials said that galley service would not be available on the Kitsap during the vessel switch. The Kitsap is being sent to the Seattle-Bremerton run to replace the M/V Hyak, which is repositioning to the
San Juans as the fifth vessel there for the summer.
The summer sailing schedule starts Sunday, June 19.
