Whidbey Island Nourishes is participating in the Summer Meals Program by providing free, nutritious sack lunches on weekdays for youths ages 18 and younger.

Lunches are available from the concessions stand at South Whidbey Community Park from noon to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The program runs weekdays through Aug. 31.

Sno-Isle Libraries is teaming with WIN to combine good food with good fun by providing activities for youths of all ages.

On Monday, July 25, the program is “Get Funky, Get Creative and Get Building!” Kids can listen to stories, make a craft and build a gigantic structure.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the program is “There’s A Shark in the Park!” There will be shark stories, water games and more. Participants should be prepared to get a little (or very) wet.
