Congressman Rick Larsen will hold a telephone town hall on Tuesday to talk about the debt debate.

The 2nd District Democrat said he will give an update on debt limit talks during the community call, which will be held at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.

“The impact of defaulting on bills that America is committed to paying is too great," Larsen said. "If the president and Congress fail to avoid default before the Aug. 2 deadline, it will hurt our economy and middle class families in northwest Washington."

Larsen will host the call from his office in Washington, D.C., and is inviting questions and ideas from residents of the 2nd District about "meaningful deficit reduction."

The free call-in number is 1-877-229-8493 (enter code 18502).
