Fallen tree is to blame for South Whidbey power outage

Approximately 100 homes in the Clinton area lost electricity early Sunday morning after a tree fell into power lines on Kimmich Court, just north of Cultus Bay.

Dorothy Bracken, a spokeswoman for Puget Sound Energy, said the outage was reported at 3:26 a.m. Sunday, July 24.

Bracken said PSE crews removed the tree just after 5 a.m., and power was restored at 5:19 a.m.
