Island County is seeking volunteers who would like to serve on the Clinton Ferry Committee and the Coupeville Ferry Committee.

One position is open on each committee. Members are appointed by the board of county commissioners for four-year terms on the committees, which meet as needed to discuss the concerns of the ferry users and relay that information to lawmakers in Olympia.

Applicants must reside within the area they are representing.

Interested individuals should provide a letter of interest and statement of qualifications by mail, email or fax to  Island County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Pam Dill, Re: Ferry Advisory Committee Vacancy, PO Box 5000, Coupeville, WA 98239.

The fax number is 360-679-7381 and email applications should be sent to pamd@co.island.wa.us.

Application materials are due by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. For additional information, call 360-679-7353 or email Dill at the above address.
