The ferry M/V Cathlamet, which was pulled from service this morning due to emergency repairs, is awaiting the Coast Guard's approval before it will return to the Mukilteo-Clinton route.

During an overnight review and maintenance of the ferry, a tiny leak of the fire pump was discovered.

Ferries spokeswoman Marta Coursey said repairs to the vessel have been completed, but the ferry cannot be returned to service until the Coast Guard inspection is complete.

Washington State Ferries officials said they do not know when the Cathlamet will resume sailing. The route is on a one-boat sailing schedule until further notice.
