Judy Feldman of Freeland has been chosen as the new executive director of Greenbank Farm.

“I have loved this site since the first time I set foot on it, back in 1998," Feldman said.

"The grassroots effort that brought it into public ownership has always represented the best of community action for me," she added. "I’m honored to be able now to work with our community to make it a more vibrant and sustainable place for residents and visitors alike.”

The search committee in charge of finding a new director said more than 110 applications for the job were submitted by the July 8 deadline.

Fourteen applicants were interviewed through telephone calls to find a final field of four applicants.

“We are happy that the search process did exactly what it was supposed to do – it produced a small selection of high quality candidates and positioned the board to make its final selection with as much information about them as possible," said Donna Keeler, chairwoman of the search committee. "We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.”

The search committee consisted of Claire Creighton, Mary Kay Chess, Fran Einterz, Elizabeth Guss, Donna Keeler, Jan Whitsitt, Mary Jo Stansbury and Maryon Attwood.
