Three residents of the South End have applied to fill the Position 3 seat on the Clinton Ferry Advisory Committee.

The applicants are Leanne Finlay, Robin Adams and Bruce Mulvey.

The post carries a four-year term, and Island County commissioners will make the appointment at an upcoming meeting.

The position is currently held by Doug Brand, and his term ends Aug. 31. The other two members of the committee are Dean Enell and David Hoogerwerf.

County commissioners are expected to talk about appointments to upcoming board and committee vacancies at their work session next week.

The work session begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, but the appointments will not be discussed until 1 p.m. The meeting is in the commissioners' hearing room, in the County Annex Building at 1 NE Sixth St.
