Woman reportedly raped in woods near Clinton

The Island County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a rape of woman in a wooded area near Clinton.

A Sunlight Shores woman called police on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 9 to report that her daughter had been raped.

The sheriff's office would not release any details on the report. Detective Ed Wallace said Wednesday an investigation was ongoing.
