The Langley Main Street Association has registered 35 charter members after the first two weeks of its initial membership drive, said board member Fred Lundahl.

The membership of the nonprofit elected its first nine-member board of directors in early September. Janet Ploof was chosen as president, Christina Drake will serve as vice president, Sandra Wainright is treasurer, and Rene Neff is secretary.

Other members of the board include Bob Waterman, Dr. Mark Riomondo, Tami Goss and Jeff Arango.

The next event being planned by the association is a membership social hour and brainstorming session.
