Volunteer firefighters are planning a free pancake breakfast for the public at Fire District 3’s Langley Station at 820 Camano Ave.

The breakfast gets underway at 8 a.m. and ends at noon Saturday, Oct. 15.

“We encourage everyone to swing by the station to meet our dedicated team of volunteers and tour your local firehouse,” said Fire District 3 Chief Rusty Palmer. “This is a chance to share your thoughts with us over a plate of piping hot pancakes.”

Local firefighters will also be on hand to teach how to program in case of emergency (ICE) numbers into cell phones. There will be live fire demonstrations to show adults and children how to use fire extinguishers.
