Veteran affairs committee meets

The governor’s Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 20 at the NAS Whidbey Island Chiefs’ Club in Oak Harbor.

The Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee – under the leadership of 2011 Chairman Lloyd Burroughs – is composed of 17 members and advises Gov. Chris Gregoire and the director of the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs on issues and programs concerning veterans.
