Island County looks for help on advisory board

Island County is hoping to find volunteers willing to fill two vacant positions on the Water Resources Advisory Committee.

Applicants must live within District 2 (Oak Harbor) and District 1 (South/Central Whidbey).

The District 2 position will run through June 17, 2015. The District 1 position will run through June 17, 2014.

The 12-member advisory committee monitors water resources in Island County.

Application materials are due by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11. Interested applicants must provide a letter of interest, statement of qualifications and application by mail, email or fax to Island County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Pam Dill, Re: WRAC Vacancy, PO Box 5000, Coupeville, WA 98239. The fax number is 360-679-7381 and email applications should be sent to pamd@co.island.wa.us.
