Island County seeks farming advisors

Island County is looking for applicants to serve on the Farm/Agriculture Advisory Committee.

Volunteers serve one-year terms on a five-member committee that represents the active farming community within the county. They serve in an advisory capacity to the assessor’s office in implementing guidelines as established by the Department of Revenue for the assessment of open space, farms and agricultural lands and timber lands.

Interested individuals should provide a letter of interest and statement of qualifications by mail, email or fax to the Island County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Pam Dill, Re: Farm/Agriculture Advisory Committee,

PO Box 5000, Coupeville, WA 98239. The fax number is 360-679-7381 and email applications should be sent to pamd@co.island.wa.us.

Application materials are due by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1.
