Senior fellow from Freedom Foundation is guest speaker

The South Whidbey Republican Women’s group will host Bob Williams, founder of the Freedom Foundation and a senior fellow at the nonprofit think tank, as their guest speaker at the Useless Bay Golf & Country Club later this month.

Williams is known as a national expert on fiscal and tax policies, election reform and disaster preparedness, and worked as a U.S. Government Accountability Office auditor at the Pentagon and Postal Service before moving to Washington state. He served five terms in the Washington State Legislature and was the 1988 Republican nominee for governor.

The South Whidbey Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. The luncheon is open to the public, but lunch reservations required. To RSVP, call 579-4062 or 321-5420.
