South Whidbey School Board reviews fees and plans

Athletic fees and the future of the district are only a couple of items on the agenda for the South Whidbey School Board meeting today.

The school board will hear a few presentations about the arts in the South Whidbey School District and about the future of the schools. One item related to the district’s future is the proposal to relocate the Bayview School from the building on Bayview Road to the South Whidbey Primary Campus by this fall.

Athletic fees for Falcon sports are proposed to increase from $50 per sport to $100, which would make it similar to Archbishop Murphy but still cheaper than Cedarcrest, which are both in the same athletic conference as South Whidbey.

The school board meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 in the board meeting room at the South Whidbey Primary Campus.
