Rite of Passage continues at Bayview School

April 24, 2012 · Updated 1:58 PM

The annual Rite of Passage excursion for Bayview School students will continue this year.

The $3,000 trip was possible thanks to a $1,000 grant from the South Whidbey Schools Foundation and fundraising by the students through yard sales, bake sales and an event with Dr. Craig Weiner.

Organizers described the trip as a chance for students to reflect on the passage to adulthood.

Bayview School students who graduate in June have the option to attend for a $50 fee. This year, the students will visit Ekone Ranch in Goldendale from May 31 to June 5.
