Athletics code, fees considered by South Whidbey School Board

May 8, 2012 · Updated 5:18 PM

The South Whidbey School Board will work on a deal with the Port of South Whidbey, its athletics code and fees and other policies during a workshop today.

The South Whidbey School District leaders meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Board Room at the South Whidbey Primary Campus.

Raising the fees to play sports will be considered, as well as revising the athletics code, specifically around disciplinary measures.

A memorandum of understanding between the port district and school district for use of facilities will also be reviewed.

In the school board’s previous business meeting, a pair of policies were tabled to amend the language. The workshop is expected to be the final meeting to review the key functions of the board and excused/unexcused absences before approval at the board’s next business meeting May 23.

The primary campus is located at 5476 S. Maxwelton Road in Langley.
