Well-known Langley actor and theatrical lighting expert Tod Ackley, also known as Bif Dangerfield, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Thursday night, May 24, after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding on the brain).

As of Monday, he was in serious but stable condition and is expected to remain in the hospital for at least another week while doctors try to determine the cause of the bleeding. Tod is the son of Patricia Goff of Langley and stepson of Molly Cook of Coupeville.

Tod’s brother Cameron in Seattle has asked that the South Whidbey community keep Tod in its thoughts and prayers. Anyone wishing to have more information or send messages through the family can contact Cameron Ackley at 206-232-8624 or Cook at 360-678-3042.
