COUPEVILLE - A former friend and band mate of James Huden, the man accused of shooting Russel Douglas in the head in 2003, is expected to take the stand this morning.
The trial was delayed until 9:30 a.m. for the defense to speak with Bill Hill before the trial resumed for its third day of arguments in Island County Superior Court. Hill was in the band Buck Naked and the Xhibitionists with Huden. Prior to Huden's departure to Mexico in 2004, he cryptically told Hill that he had killed a man who was abusive like Huden's own stepfather, Island County Prosecutor Greg Banks said during his opening statement Wednesday.
