Board considers field use, signs

August 14, 2012 · Updated 2:22 PM

Commissioners for the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District will hear an update on the maintenance facilities’ infrastructure and review policies for sign use and field use.

There will be time for public comment at the start of the meeting tonight. Commissioners will consider the use of parks land for outside groups’ signs, like for levies and elections. Agreements for field use by a soccer league, Pee Wee football, a Frisbee team and South Whidbey Little League will also be reviewed.

The parks district office is located at 5475 Maxwelton Road in Langley. The parks board meets at 7 p.m. tonight, Aug. 15.

The parks board meets the third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise posted.
