Comment online on transportation

The Washington State Transportation Commission offers an online forum for people to comment and provide ideas to solve transportation issues.

Any state resident can log onto www.voiceofwashingtonstate.org to sign up and provide input on how to improve the state’s transportation system, according to Donna Keeler, Island County transportation planner.

The commission is looking for ideas about how to improve highways, mass transit, freight and high-speed rail, ferries and aviation.

The ultimate goal is to gather input on transportation policy and funding. The governor and Legislature will be briefed on the ideas and data generated through the online forums and surveys, Keeler said.
