The early birder gets the Whidbey Audubon class

August 24, 2012 · Updated 3:57 PM

There’s still time to register for Whidbey Audubon’s popular Birds Of Whidbey series of classes. The classes start Sept. 6 and conclude in May 2013.

The course will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland on the first and third Thursday evenings of each month, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A follow-up field trip will take place once a month on Saturday mornings led by experienced birders.

The fee is $150 for Whidbey Audubon Society members and $175 for nonmembers, and includes nine issues of their “Shorelines” newsletter. Fees may be paid in two payments but must be paid in full by Sept. 6 to be in the class. The class is already more than half full. More information is available at whidbeyaudubon.org.
