Langley Library Board members stay on board
August 28, 2012 · Updated 2:06 PM
Pam Owen and Monica Guzman have been re-appointed to additional terms on the Langley Library Board.
Selected by Mayor Larry Kwarsick, their reappointments were confirmed by unanimous vote of the City Council Monday at City Hall. Appointments to all citizen boards, except the Civil Service Commission, carry three-year terms.
“I very much appreciate their continued dedication to the library,” Kwarsick said.
The seven-member board is an advisory group responsible for monitoring all issues related to the library, including maintenance and furnishings, landscaping and public use of the building.
At the same meeting, the council also confirmed the mayor’s re-appointment of Nancy Rowan to the Parks & Open Space Commission. Also and advisory group, the five-member body works to articulate and implement a long-term vision for parks, open space and trails.
