Software causes erroneous bills

Some Langley residents may have recently received incorrect utility statements are being urged to contact City Hall.

Langley officials announced this week that the problem was the result of new billing software and a new rate structure, which was adopted by the city council.

“We have worked diligently to resolve the problem and there were some revised statements mailed out this week,” said utility clerk Cheryl Knighton, in a statement released Wednesday.

Anyone who believes they had an error on their bill and didn’t get a revised statement is encouraged to call City Hall at 221-4246 so needed corrections can be made.
