South Whidbey principals will present plans

Principals of South Whidbey schools soon will show their plans to improve student test scores and achievement.

School improvement plans are part of the district’s plans to increase academic achievement and are also in line with No Child Left Behind and other benchmarks for schools’ successes or shortcomings. The four principals in the South Whidbey School District will present their plans at the school board’s business meeting Wednesday, Oct. 24.

District Superintendent Jo Moccia will also update the board on the levy process. South Whidbey’s school leaders will seek maintenance and capital levies in the February election, and have a list of dozens of minor and major works across the district’s facilities.
