School Board to hear plans, levy info

October 23, 2012 · Updated 2:29 PM

South Whidbey’s principals will present their school improvement plans to the board tonight.

School improvement plans are designed to give faculty and staff a guide for how to increase student achievement, specifically on standardized test scores. Each principal from the South Whidbey School District’s four schools, South Whidbey Academy, South Whidbey High School, Langley Middle School and South Whidbey Elementary School, will share their plans with the school board and District Superintendent Jo Moccia.

Prior to the school plans, there will be a public comment period.

Moccia will update the school board on the upcoming levy request.

The South Whidbey School Board meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24. Business meetings are held in the board room at the South Whidbey Primary Campus, located at 5476 S. Maxwelton Road.
