South Whidbey School Board to join conference

November 7, 2012 · Updated 10:32 AM

The South Whidbey School Board will travel east for a conference of school district directors this month.

Board members and Superintendent Jo Moccia of the South Whidbey School District will head to Spokane for the Washington State School Directors Association conference from Nov. 14-17.

Past conferences have given South Whidbey board members ideas for South End schools. Breakout sessions will feature topics such as online and blended learning, rethinking the academic calendar and how one board helped double its district’s graduation rate.
