Shop in Langley, win some money

November 13, 2012 · Updated 2:37 PM

Langley’s Holiday Cheer Giveaway is taking place again this year, giving shoppers a chance to hit it big in a drawing.

The giveaway is $1,000 in cash thanks to a donation from Whidbey Island Bank. The contest runs from Thursday, Nov. 15, to noon Dec. 22. The drawing is set for 3 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Boy & Dog Park on First Street. Winners must be at least 18 and must be present to win.

When customers spend $20 or more, they are given one ticket; the more $20 expenditures they rack up, the more tickets they receive. Customers will keep half of the ticket for the drawing.

Those who can’t be in town Dec. 22, are encouraged to donate their tickets to a local charity, which will be eligible to win assuming a representative attends. For details, call the chamber office at 221-6765.

Other holiday plans in Langley include a tree lighting at 4 p.m. Nov. 24 at Langley Park; holiday parade Dec. 1 starting at 11 a.m.; and the Langley Main Street Association’s Deck the Doors contest will be held Nov. 24 to Dec. 23.
