Shakespeare Fest to play Whidbey Island fairground

The 2013 Island Shakespeare Festival will have three performances at the Whidbey Island fairgrounds in Langley.

Langley Councilwoman Rene Neff announced the news at Monday’s city council meeting. Neff has worked with the festival’s director, Rose Woods, to find a venue in Langley. The festival, which will feature “King Lear” and “Much Ado About Nothing,” will also have three performances at the Whidbey Institute, where it has been held for several years.
