Library gets new book drop

December 4, 2012 · Updated 3:02 PM

The Langley Library has some revamped features. The book slot was changed and functions better than the old one, said library manager Vicky Welfare.

There are also coat hooks near the entrance. Welfare said the hangers are for students who visit the library with their backpacks, and hoped the hooks would mitigate how often kids leave their bags on the floor.

“It’s a chronic issue,” Welfare said.

She also hoped funding from the Sno-Isle Library Foundation would afford the purchase of chairs.

Money should be available since the library has forgone adding any landscaping until the Second Street Project is finalized.
