New tenants announced for Smilin' Dog space
June 25, 2008 · Updated 6:09 PM
The new tenants for the cafe space at the Bayview Cash Store will be Tamar and Gene Felton, the owners of the Star Store in Langley.
Tamar Felton said no date for the opening has been set, but they try to reopen as soon as possible.
The cafe will be called the Three Cats at the Corner Cafe, in reference to the Four Cats Cafe in Barcelona where Picasso's first exhibition was held, Felton said.
Felton said they hope to preserve the same feel and atmosphere as the Smilin' Dog, the popular cafe that was in the location in the Cash Store until it unexpectedly closed last Friday.
