Golf is for everyone

CPGA professional and owner of Vancouver Island Golf Centre, Steve Cikaluk, wants everyone active in golf no matter what age or ability to have fun.
Whether its golf lessons, playing virtual golf on some of the worlds most renowned courses or practising your chips and putts, Vancouver Island Golf Centre is a facility for everyone.
Located at 2517 Bowen Rd. (in the Co-op plaza), this expansive indoor facility has everything from golf lessons to a fully stocked pro-shop and lots of opportunity to practise your game.
A big part of Cikaluks business is finding the right club fit for each golfer. Quality of a club is important but the proper fit is more important and so many players use the wrong club size, says Cikaluk.
When fitting a club, Vancouver Island Golf Centre staff work on swing weight, torque, proper flex and proper grip size.
With 51 years experience as golf professional throughout Canada, Cikaluk knows whereof he speaks. He says its amazing how well you can learn and improve rapidly when you have fitted clubs.
For a unique corporate party or charity fundraiser try an indoor golf tournament. These fun tournaments include virtual golf, putting and chipping and a KP and longest drive competition.
Golfers looking to get a handicap to allow them to register for tournaments can do so through Vancouver Island Golf Centre. Registration is open to all public golfers. The golf centre can be reached at 729-7551.
