Levies up for South Whidbey School Board vote

December 11, 2012 · Updated 2:36 PM

Capital and maintenance and operations levies will be voted on by the South Whidbey School Board at Wednesday’s meeting.

The M&O levy will be set at $1.04 per $1,000 of assessed property value. South Whidbey’s capital/technology levy is poised for a 33-cent increase to 53 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation.

A list of more than 60 repairs and upgrades prompted school district leaders to seek the levy increase and extensions. The school board will vote on the levies at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the South Whidbey Primary Campus in the board meeting room.
