Work projects get approval South Whidbey Fire/EMS approval

Four contracts totaling $26,519 were approved by the South Whidbey Fire/EMS commissioners at their recent meeting.

Maintenance and facilities issues were deferred as the fire protection district’s budget shrank with property value decline the past few years. Work for overhead door maintenance was approved for $1,369.62; pest control was put in the hands of Orkin for $4,865.41. Ground maintenance was awarded to All Whidbey Topsoil for $14,588.10. Station cleaning will be the duty of Seattle Maintenance Solutions for $5,695.88.
