Port of South Whidbey considers planning firms
January 22, 2013 · Updated 1:49 PM
The Board of Commissioners of the Port District of South Whidbey Island will convene a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 in the port office conference room, 1804 Scott Road in Freeland.
An informal workshop will be held before the special meeting, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The primary purpose of the special meetings will be for commission and staff interviews of potential Comprehensive Scheme and Strategic Plan contract firms, and updates on current South Whidbey Harbor projects.
Although the meetings are open to the public, the special meeting has been scheduled for the interviews and for detailed commission and staff discussion, and public participation is not on the agenda. A special meeting was held July 22 to review applicants for the contract.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners is Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the meeting room of the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation office at 5475 Maxwelton Road.
