February 1, 2013 · Updated 3:43 PM
Being the mayor of Langley is now up for application.
Applicants need to have lived within city limits for one year and be a registered voter. The term is until the general election in November, unless there are enough would-be mayors to warrant a primary election in August.

To apply, submit a letter of interest and resume to Debbie Mahler, finance director/city clerk, City of Langley, P.O. Box 366, Langley, WA 98260 or email clerk@langleywa.org by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7.
Interviews are scheduled to being before the Langley City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at which time the city council may appoint the new mayor.
