Here are this issue’s reports from the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

May 2

3:11 p.m. - A woman on Maxwelton Road called police after witnessing a large blue dump truck over the embankment. She had spoken to the driver, who told her he was not hurt.

3:37 p.m. - A woman on Timberline Road reported that a driver of a car was racing around while another person was lying on the trunk and flapping his arms and legs. She added that she’d never seen the two before.

4:01 p.m. - A woman on Smugglers Cove Road requested that police do a check of a neighbor’s residence that had a garage door open. The residents were out of town.

5:12 p.m. - Someone had shot a bullet through the window of a truck on Maxwelton Road.

5:46 p.m. - Two people were riding dirt bikes inside a bird sanctuary at the end of Deer Lake Road.

5:55 p.m. - A Greenbank man said he’d been assaulted.

8:15 p.m. - A woman on Roy Road reported loose turkeys on Bayview Road.
