Bush Point fence repairs approved by commissioners

February 15, 2013 · Updated 9:14 PM

Fencing at the public parking area at Bush Point will be repaired soon.

The Port of South Whidbey Commissioners on Tuesday decided to dip into the small works roster to find a local company to fix the fencing.

A couple of people in the area have “expressed concern,” said Ed Field, the port’s operations manager. “We need to keep that fence up,” citing a zoning requirement from 2008.

The cedar fencing is suffering from rotting posts. Field opined that new posts can use the existing concrete supports.
