Terry gets the nomination for seat
June 25, 2008 · Updated 9:36 AM
Democratic Party officials have picked Patricia J. Terry as the party's candidate in the 10th District, Position 2 House race over fellow Democrat Ann McDonald.
McDonald had announced last week that she would skip the nominating convention.
Precinct committee officers chose candidates at their convention at Skagit Community College in Mount Vernon on Thursday night.
Terry won the nomination easily. The final vote was 221 to 13.
Both Terry and McDonald are hoping to unseat incumbent Republican Barbara Bailey.
The 10th District includes Island County and parts of Skagit and Snohomish counties.
