Electric car charge stations open in Langley

February 22, 2013 · Updated 7:10 PM

Powering electric vehicles has come to Langley. Two charge stations were installed on Second Street near Langley Park. Revenue from the chargers will be split evenly between the company, Blank, and Langley.

Besides money, the city can monitor the stations’ environmental impact. Reductions in carbon dioxides, fuel usage and money saved in fuel cost are available to city staff.

The location for the charging stations was selected because of the ease to electrical access, which is underground, said Langley’s Public Works Director Challis Stringer.
